Our Philosophy

Care should feel as welcoming as a warm color.

Health is more than a single diagnosis — and most people arrive carrying months of worry and half-answered questions. We slow things down. Every visit begins with listening, moves through thoughtful collaboration, and ends with a plan you genuinely understand. No rushed hallways, no jargon left hanging.

From everyday stress to complex, overlapping needs, our collaborative care team brings medical, behavioral, and social support together with a deeply human pace of care — so you leave lighter than you arrived.

Care under one roof

Medical, behavioral, and social support on-site — fewer referrals, faster answers, one familiar team from first visit to follow-up.

Explained in plain language

We walk through every goal, answer every question, and send you home with a written care plan — never a mystery.

Time that isn't rushed

New visits run in 45 minute sessions. We protect that time fiercely, because good care can't be hurried.

Coordinated, connected care

We work closely with your primary doctor, therapists and community resources so nothing about your well-being falls through the cracks.

What We Offer

Comprehensive collaborative care, start to finish.

Whether you're managing a lifelong condition or navigating something new, we offer the full spectrum of medical, behavioral, and social support — calmly, and in one place.

Jonathan Jenkins, LPC portrait

Jonathan Jenkins, LPC

Clinical Site Supervisor

Hello! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been working in the field for about 20 years. I attended the College of William & Mary's Counselor Education master's program and graduated in 2006 with an M.Ed. in Community and Addictions Counseling. My training is based in counseling's roots in education and emphasizes meeting clients where they are in the change process. I began my counseling career at Bacon Street through my student practicum and internship and remained there until 2009. I have since worked in a range of therapeutic settings, including residential treatment, Therapeutic Day Treatment, and outpatient mental health services, providing both general and substance use counseling to youth and adults. I am currently a Licensed Clinical Supervisor registered with the Virginia Board of Counseling and sees clients in Williamsburg, Newport News, Gloucester, and via telehealth. I value and use a person-centered approach and believe counseling sessions belong to the client, focusing on what they feel ready and willing to address. In addition to my clinical work, I am passionate about supervising Licensed Residents in Counseling and supporting them as they work toward LPC licensure. Influenced by the mentorship I received early in my career, I view supervision as a way to give back to the profession and provide a supportive, collaborative learning experience. I believe meaningful change can be challenging and takes time, and I strive to create a safe, respectful environment where individuals and families can openly explore mental health concerns, substance use issues, and the changes needed to move forward.
